SRINAGAR, Apr 3: Castigating the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, for his statement that the ‘coming polls are not about his performance’, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chief spokesperson, Naeem Akhtar today said this clearly indicates that Omar has accepted defeat and is now brazenly running away from his responsibilities about the severe frauds and crimes his Government has committed over the last five years in the State.
Addressing Party workers at Harduabura in Tangmarg segment of Baramulla Parliamentary constituency, Akhtar said whatever Omar Abdullah would think about the forthcoming polls but it is the fact that he has miserably failed to do any justice with people and is now trying to flee from the scene with the aim that people may forgive him for the cruelty his Government has unleashed upon them.
He said people are too aware about the happenings around and they understand it well that how the ruling alliance has left no stone unturned to inflict them gravest injuries so that they won’t be able to raise their voices against this insensitive and inefficient regime.
“NC is the offshoot of UPA in the State and both have failed to connect with Kashmiris and have maintained criminal silence over their sufferings and now if the ‘coming polls are not about his performance’ then about whose they are”, Akhtar questioned.
The senior party leader and MLA Sangrama, Syed Basharat Bukhari said the raising of dead issue of Autonomy, out of which the NC leadership made enough fortunes and enjoyed a lot of power in the past, shows NC leadership has nothing to show as its performance and is now struggling for its survival.
