KARGIL, Sept 10: The Election Department of Ladakh has announced a bye-election for the Thangdumbur Constituency in the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil.

As per an official notification, the polling for the vacant seat has been scheduled for October 5, while as nominations will be accepted between September 11 and 18, followed by scrutiny on September 19.
It said the candidates can withdraw their nominations until September 21. “Polling will take place from 8 am to 4 pm on October 5, with votes to be counted on October 9. The entire election process will conclude by October 12,” read the notification.
