JAMMU, Sept 30: Bharatiya Yog Sansthan (BYS) is organising a grand Yog Sammelan at its Yog Ashram, Gole Gujral near here on Gandhi Jayanti (October 2) from 7 am to 9 am.
Announcing this at a press conference here today, Satya Pal Sharma president, BYS said renowned spiritual Guru Maha Mandleshwar, Swami Akhileshranand Giri Ji will be the chief guest on the occasion who will bless the gathering with his spiritual sermons.
He said this will be a great moment for Jammuites. He appealed the people to attend the programme enmass and get benefited from Swami Ji’s sermons.
Mr Sharma said that the Sansthan has made elaborate arrangements for the participants and the Sadaks of the Sansthan have also given wide publicity to the programme by holding corner meetings everywhere.
Besides the BYS, J&K has planned an ambitious Yog expansion plan for the betterment of the people of Jammu, Mr Sharma said , adding the plan envisages 25 percent increase in the present strength of 105 free Yog centers during the next year with a focus to involve youth to adopt Yog Sanskars right from the prime age of life.
He said a number of activities have been planned to attract the youngsters towards the Yog and the Sansthan has also planned to start its centers in the districts of Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Reasi by deputing its dedicated teams of trainers to these places.
Mr Sharma said that any one hailing from any part of the State and willing to learn Yoga, can approach Yog Ashram. He will be provided free boarding lodging facilities during the training period.
Maintaining that society at large is facing various health challenges in view of modern life style so a chain of camps will be organised to fight out diabetes, cardio diseases, Asthama, back ache, Insomnia, obesity and arthritis wherein Yog treatment will be provided free of cost for getting rid of these problems by the Yog experts.
He said in the coming years a chain of dedicated Sadhaks will be trained in the training centers of BYS at Yog Ashram Jammu who will further move to far-flung areas to train the masses to adopt yogic way of life for their betterment.
Mr Sharma also informed that from October 27 to October 29 this year an All India Conference of BYS will be held at Yog Ashram Gole Gujral.
V K Soni, Mahavir Gupta, Shashi Kant, Anil Sharma and Kishore Ji were the other representatives of BYS present in the press conference.
