JAMMU, Dec 20: Hindu leader and Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Welfare Society’s national general secretary, Raju Chandel, fully supported the Government on Citizens Amendment Bill (CAB).
Criticising Congress and other parties for instigating innocent people against the Bill, Chandel said the Bill is not against the interests of any community as has been alleged.
He appealed the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to act under law against the parties and leaders who are misleading the people on the name of the Bill.
Chandel in a statement here, today said it is a matter of concern that the people are being instigated to take to streets and indulge in violence by certain vested elements and some opposition leaders which the nation as a whole can’t tolerate.
Terming the passage of the Bill as one of the major achievements of this Government, he said with it the minorities who were persecuted in neighbouring countries can heave a sigh of relief and live a dignified life. He said the Government should quell the violence with full might and ensure the law and order as violence and rioting can hamper the progress and development of the country which no saner element will allow. He assured full support to Prime Minister in taking drastic and reformative measures to make India Vishaw Guru.
