SRINAGAR : The Cabinet which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Ms Mehbooba Mufti accorded sanction to the creation of the Jammu and Kashmir Information Technology Service.
With the creation of J&K Information Technology Service, one of the key concerns related to the IT posts existing in isolation in different departments will be addressed. There shall be pooling of all IT related posts created in various department of the government into one Service under the administrative control of the IT department. This shall enable efficient cadre management as well as career progression of the IT professionals based on their experience and qualification.
