Jammu: The Cabinet which met here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minster, Omar Abdullah Thursday ordered the following transfers and postings in Civil Administration.
Shabir Ahmad Bhat, Director Area Planning and Ex-Officio Special Secretary to the Government, Planning and Development Department has been transferred and posted as Director Command Area Development, Jammu, relieving Director, Agriculture, Jammu of the additional charge.
Showkat Ahmad Beigh, Special Secretary, Chief Minister’s Private Office, Srinagar has been transferred and posted as Director, Area Planning and Ex-Officio Special Secretary to the Government, Planning and Development Department.
Soujanya Kumar Sharma, Director Information, J&K has been transferred and posted as Director Tourism, Jammu. He shall, however, continue to hold the charge of Director Information J&K till further orders.
Meanwhile the Cabinet accorded sanction to the establishment of Government Polytechnic Institute for Pulwama District in the Campus of Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora.
