Cabinet promotes 6 SEs as CEs

SRINAGAR, July 24: State Cabinet today approved promotion of six Incharge Superintending Engineers as Incharge Chief Engineers in the Power Development Department and regularization of Incharge Directors/Managing Directors in the Department of Animal and Sheep Husbandry.
The Incharge Superintending Engineers of the PDD, who have been promoted as Incharge Chief Engineers are Girja Koul, Manmohan Singh, Ravi Kumar Chanyal, Khurshid Ahmed Budoo, B A Khan and Subash Chander.
With these promotions, the Government would be able to fill up the vacant posts of Chief Engineers in the Power Development Department. Presently, the posts of Chief Engineer Generation, Kashmir, Chief Engineer P&MM Wing, J&K, Chief Engineer Generation, Leh, Chief Engineer Planning and Design J&K, Chief Engineer, Commercial and Survey Wing, J&K and Chief Engineer, CVPP Ltd have been lying vacant.
The Cabinet also approved regularization of Dr J P Sharma, Dr R L Kher, Dr  M L  Sharma, Dr Bashir Ahmed War, Dr G S Sudan, Dr B R Kotwal and Dr A K  Koul as Directors in the Sheep Husbandry Department and Managing Directors in Sheep Products Development Board.
It further approved appointment of Patwaries against the available vacancies out of the candidates selected through written examination for undergoing Patwar training and who have successfully qualified from the respective Government Revenue Training Institutes.
It was also decided that the Patwar trainees, who do not qualify the Revenue Training in the first attempt will be given a second chance to qualify and upon doing so they will be appointed as Patwaries.
