SRINAGAR, Sept 8: The Cabinet which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti approved transfers and postings in the police administration.
SK Mishra, Special DG (Coordination), PHQ has been transferred and posted as DGP, Prisons, J&K vice Dr SP Vaid.
Dr Vaid, DGP Prisons has been transferred and posted as Special DG (Coordination and Law & Order). The post of Special D.G Coordination held by Mishra has been re-designated as Special DG (Coordination and Law & Order) till held by the officer.
The Cabinet discussed and recommended 3-months extension in services of DGP K Rajendra, who was due to retire on September 30. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs will finally approve the extension as reported exclusively by the Excelsior today.
