JAMMU, Aug 5: Condemning the separatists for giving further call of shut down in Valley upto August 12, J&K Citizen Advisory Forum (CAF) asked them to stop encouraging unrest in Kashmir, which has snatched the bread and butter of many families.
The chairman of the Forum, IC Jandial, said that these elements must understand that it will lead them nowhere but only put a poor commoner in misery who are already in disarray.
“Their (separatists) rhetoric for implementing the UN resolution in Kashmir has been put at rest with the statement of UN spokesman who has finally declared on Tuesday that the UN has no mandate over Kashmir and that the situation/ incidents in Kashmir is India’s internal matter”, Jandial said and urged the separatists to join the main stream of Indian society and strive for bringing normalcy in the Valley at the earliest.
The CAF chairman also appealed to Kashmir Civil Society and Kashmir Bar Association to come forward in restoring peace in the Valley and not to allow further deterioration of situation. He said that the civil society of Kashmir in fact should educate the misguided youth not to tread on this dangerous path which has already taken lakhs of precious lives since the onset of militancy in Valley in 1990.
Jandial also appealed all sections of society to maintain communal harmony in the State and not to be carried away by rumours or misinformation. “The society at this critical juncture should not give any credence to such statements which are coming from vested interests, who are hell bent upon burning the State and watch it like king Nero of France when Rome was burning”, he added.
