Call of Indian women

Sir,
This is with reference to the article,”The call of Indian women” D.E. Feb. 9, 2013, by S.K. Rekhi.
As a matter of fact, I have been going through the literature, related to gender-relationship, with dedication since last one decade. While going through vast volume of literature I found that entire literature is based on pure emotions and sentiments and not on reality. Either the writers lacked the power of insight or relied on hypocricy.
During our school and college days, we could never and did never imagine that a boy could have a girl friend or a girl could have a boy friend. What to think of raping a girl or a women we never dared to touch a girl. Girls were shy, even more shy then a boy. Neither the boys nor the girls had any empowerment in this field, then.
Now, boys and girls are free. Before actual marriage, they avail of all benefits, which were once unavailable before marriage. They fulfill their romantic desires, many years before actual marriage. Why should they enter into wed lock if they avail of benefits without any lock.
The reality is Indian society has changed, at the bottom. Economics has also contributed to this change. Instead of accepting and tolerating the change straightway we have become hypocrites. We are faced with the reality of 21st century but our mind is still living in 16th century.
Yours etc….
