JAMMU, May 25: A camp for free testing of Bone Mineral Density (BMD) was organized today here at Himalayan Ayurvedics.
During the camp, which was sponsored by the Himalayan Drug Company, a large number of people got checked for their bone mineral density status. The patients having Osteopenia or Osteoporosis were made aware of the probable factors responsible for deficient status of their bones.
Along with the treatment, the people were educated for urgency of safety and repair of these silently deteriorating conditions of their bones. They were also advised to observe appropriate dietary habits and life style in accordance to their individual constitution, age and occupation, by the doctors of the institution.
