Camp for girls concludes at RS Pura

JAMMU, June 12: The eight-day All India Level Annual Summer Camp organized by Sarvdeshik Arya Veerangna Dal (SAVD) for girls between the age group of 14 to 20 years at Nargis Datt Montessori Public High School, RS Pura, concluded today.
The camp was organized with the assistance of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha, J&K. The valedictory function of the camp started today with hoisting of Arya Veerangna Dal’s flag by Sham Lal Choudhary, Minister of PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control.
Sadhvi Dr Uttamma Yati, Pradhan Sanchalika (SAVD), presented welcome address. In her address, Dr Yati explained the purpose, importance and need of the hour for holding such camps, She said that the sole aim of the camp was to encourage girls to become self dependent (physically, mentally and socially) in every sphere of life by imparting them necessary training and preaching moral values of life .
While speaking on the occasion, Bharat Bhushan Arya, senior vice president, Arya Pratinidhi Sabha (J&K), said that the inspiration is derived from the teachings of Maharishi Dayanand Sarswati, a great Saint, and social reformer.
About 90-100 girls not only from J&K but also from different parts of India participated in the camp. Sachin and Ms Ritashi provided necessary training to the participants.
The occasion was also graced by guest of honor, DIG BSF, BS Kassana and Commandment, BSF 192 Battalion, RS Pura, SPS Sandhu.
The other distinguished personalities who addressed the gathering were Mridula Chohan (Sanchalika, SAVD), Aarti Khurana, Vimla Malik, Sukriti Choudhary (Sanchalika, Arya Veerangna Dal J&K), Dharma Pal Arya (president, Delhi Arya Pratinidhi Sabha), SK Madan (vice president, Delhi Arya Pratinidhi Sabha) and Rakesh Chohan (president, Arya Pratinidhi Sabha, J&K).
