The cancellation of admission of 12 MBBS students by BOPEE who had passed the entrance test fradulently by purchasing the question papers and the key of Common Entrance Test (CET-2012) is a step in right direction.
The cancellation of admission will serve a deterrant to the students who will try to secure MBBS degrees through unfairmeans. Purging the Health sector of these blackfish will save one of the public service sectors from degeneration. The Medical system in the State is already under strain due to a number of reasons. Further deterioration will tear it asunder with far reaching consequences. This ugly episode has a lesson to teach to those who conduct the entrance exams. Make entrance system quite transparent. Transparency should be its hall mark. It is only then people will not lose faith in the system. Once the system loses its credibility there is no way we can protect it then.
It is requested to the concerned people to make reforms in examination system to make it more credible.
