JAMMU, Apr 13: Candle light processions were taken out here today to express solidarity with the 8-year-old tribal girl, who was raped and murdered in Rasana area of the district Kathua in the month of January this year.

A large numbers of students hailing from different areas of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions assembled outside Press Club Jammu and took out candle light march.
The students demanded stringent punishment to the accused and hoped that the justice to the victim family will be delivered by the judiciary.
Meanwhile, a candle light march was taken out from Digiana Ashram here, to condole the death of Rasana rape and murder victim.
The march was taken out under the chairmanship of Sudershan Singh Wazir Chairman J&K Sikh United Front and supported by various Sikh organizations of J&K.
Hundred of youth, elders and ladies participated in the candle light march.
While addressing the media persons, Sudershan Singh Wazir demanded fast track court from Government to punish the accused, so that no one can dare to commit this type of crime in future.
Among others present were Mohinder Singh, Surinder Singh Kala, Paramjit Singh, Amrik Singh, Dharbinder Singh, Raja Singh, Surjeet Singh Kuku, Harpreet Singh Choutu, etc.
Meanwhile, similar protests were held in Ramban and Doda districts by various organizations demanding justice to the family of 8-year-old tribal girl.
