CAPD clarifies on commission, carriage charges issue

JAMMU, Nov 30:  Director CAPD Jammu has clarified that dealers of fair price shops are not paid commission/ carriage charges in cash but  paid only through account payee cheques.
While referring to the report regarding pilferage of ration and the issue of payment of carriage charges to the dealers in cash, the director G S Chib claimed that dealers are not given cash by the TSOs or Assistant Directors concerned, they are paid only through cheques. On the issue of demanding 20 % commission for release of  their pending carriage charges/ commission by concerned TSO in Kotranka (Rajouri), he said no such complaints have been received but he would get inquiry conducted into the matter. Denying the shortage of ration in the remote areas of Jammu region, the director claimed that Central Government is providing ration to the State on the projected population of 2000 even today. But the stocks were sufficient in most of the areas, he added.
