KATHUA, Feb 6: A team of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department led by Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO) Billawar, Gian Khajuria, inspected the Billawar market today and imposed a fine of Rs 6,100 on shopkeepers and dhaba owners for not displaying the rate lists and for using domestic gas cylinders on their dhabas.
The fine was recovered on spot from the defaulters by the team. The TSO was accompanied by Naib tehsildar, police party and other officials of his Department.
The inspection was conducted on the directions of SDM Billawar. The TSO warned the shopkeepers and dhaba owners that the defaulters will not be spared in future.
