JAMMU, May 10: Channi Himmat police arrested a supervisor and storekeeper of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department for misappropriation of Government ration.
As per police sources, Government ration meant for registered rationees worth lakhs was diverted to M/s Kissan Flour Mills.
During raid on April 27, Channi Himmat police seized two truck loaded with Government ration, which was loaded from CAPD Store at Chatha.
The trucks loaded with wheat were seized and during the course of investigation, Channi Himmat police arrested storekeeper and supervisor of CAPD Store Chatha for misappropriation of Government ration.
Further questioning of the CAPD officials is going on.
Police team led by SHO Channi Himmat police station Inspector Sajjad Haider made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Chandan Kohli and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
