JAMMU, July 11: A team of CAPD officials conducted surprise checking in Bus Stand, Bhagwati Nagar, Jewel Chowk and other areas of city today and imposed heavy fine on 29 traders for over charging and not displaying rate lists.
The team led by Dy Director Atamdev Singh and assisted by Assistant Director Nazir Ahmed and Ramesh Chander conducted market checking at Jewel Chowk, Bus Stand, Bhagwati Nagar, Paloura, Rehari, Bakshi Nagar, Talab Tillo and market near Yatri Niwas and booked 45 defaulters. A fine of Rs 21,700 was imposed on the spot and recovered from the defaulters for various offences.
