Srinagar, Aug 9: A man accused of molesting and injuring a girl was arrested in Srinagar city this afternoon.
Police arrested the molester on the basis of CCTV footage of the area. He has been identified as Uzair Hameed Mir son of Abdul Hameed Mir of Daulatabad Khanyar.
He gave lift to the victim, tried to molest her and when the girl resisted, he pushed her out of the car.
A case (FIR) in stringent sections registered in Rainawari Police Station and the car has been seized by the Police.
Police acted upon the complaint lodged by the girl against the unknown car borne molester.
