Car catches fire after accident

RAJOURI, June 3: Four persons were injured after car skidded off the road and fell into a gorge and caught fire in Bhangai area under Thannamandi police jurisdiction of Rajouri district on Saturday afternoon.
Reports said an Alto car bearing registration No JK02T-7177 met with an accident and caught fire on Shahdara- Thannamandi Road on Saturday, in which four people were injured who were referred to GMC Rajouri after first aid at PHC Thannamandi for treatment.
As per the details, the Alto car which was going from Thannamandi to Shahdara Sharif, while giving way to another vehicle coming from the front, fell into a gorge. As soon as the car fell into the ditch, the four people in it came out, but after a few moments, the car caught fire and in no time, the car started burning in big flames and smoke and became a pile of ashes.
Some people present on the spot told that the car had caught such a terrible fire in a few moments that it burnt to ashes in a few moments.
Dr Mehmood Ahmed, Medical Superintendent of GMC Rajouri, identified the injured as Nisar Ahmed, son of Mohd Basheer; Syed Hamid, son of Abdul Hameed; Sahil Ahmed, son of Badar Hussain and Abdul Karim all residents of Thannamandi.
