JAMMU, Aug 1: An electric pole collapsed here at Apsara Road today, resulting in damage to a car parked under.
A local shopkeeper said that the pole got split in half on Sunday followed by which a signboard reading, “work under progress,” was installed over it.
“But till today, no one either from the PDD or the Jammu Smart City Limited appeared on the ground to remove the damaged poll,” he said. Click here to watch video
“This lackadaisical attitude of the two departments has put the lives of the people of Apsara Road in peril,” he added.
The Apsara Road based traders appealed the administration to get the pole removed as soon as possible.
