DODA, May 25: Two persons lost their lives when the car they were on board moved away from the road and landed in a deep gorge in Kastigarh area of mountainous Doda district.
Quoting eye witnesses sources said that the ill fated car was of EECO make bearing registration number JK06B-2623 and it rolled down into the gorge at Chuchatter area of Kastigarh this evening while on way to Chuchatter from Doda.
The gorge was so deep that the fallen vehicle was not located till last reports while the deceased persons were pushed out of the car while it was rolling downwards along the slope.
Immediately after the accident cops and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation but one person has died on the spot and the other was critically injured who succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to GMC Doda. The deceased were identified as Yash Pal, son of Amar Nath and Irshad Ahmed, son of Mohd Maqbool, both residents of Chuchatter.
