SRINAGAR, Aug 30: A biker today sustained serious injuries after he was hit by a vehicle near a village in Handwara along Srinagar-Kupwara National Highway.
The person riding the bike has been identified as Sameer Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Hassan and was riding a bike bearing number JK-18 4710. He was hit by a vehicle bearing number JK01J 8184.
The rider sustained serious injuries in the accident and was immediately moved to the District Hospital, Handwara for immediate medical attention where he was stated to be critical.
Reports said that a case in this regard has been registered and the investigation has been set in motion.
