Cardamom futures dip 0.62% on profit-booking

NEW DELHI, July 16:  Amid profit-booking by speculators at current levels, cardamom prices eased 0.62 per cent to Rs 792 per kg in futures trade today.
Further, slackened demand at the spot market influenced cardamom prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in September fell by Rs 5, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 792 per kg in business turnover of 56 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in August contracts traded lower by Rs 3, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 804.50 per kg in 142 lots.
Market analysts said besides profit-booking by participants at existing levels, fall in demand at the spot markets against adequate stocks position mainly led to the fall in cardamom prices at futures trade. (PTI)
