Cardamom futures fall 0.46% on profit-booking

NEW DELHI, Nov 21:  Cardamom prices fell by 0.46 per cent to Rs 891.80 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels amid sluggish demand in spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in far-month January declined by Rs 4.10, or 0.46 per cent to Rs 891.80 per kg in business turnover of 13 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in December shed Rs 1.40, or 0.16 per cent to Rs 865.60 per kg in 184 lots.
Market analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators, subdued demand in spot markets, mainly weighed on cardamom prices in futures trade. (PTI)
