NEW DELHI, Mar 21: Cardamom futures prices fell today by 0.90 per cent to Rs 864.30 per kg as speculators reduced their positions amid adequate stocks position in the physical market following higher supply from producing belts.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in May declined by Rs 7.90, or 0.90 per cent, to Rs 864.30 per kg in business turnover of 37 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in April traded lower by Rs 5.80, or 0.68 per cent, to Rs 838 per kg in 384 lots.
Market analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand, mainly put pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade. (AGENCIES)
