Cardamom futures fall 0.94% on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Nov 26:  Cardamom prices fell by 0.94 per cent to Rs 831.30 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions amid adequate stocks position in the physical market on account of higher supplies from producing belts.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in December contracts fell by Rs 7.90, or 0.94 per cent, to Rs 831.30 per kg in a business turnover of 230 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in January 2015 declined by Rs 6.60, or 0.75 per cent, to Rs 863 per kg in 44 lots.
Market analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand mainly put pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade. (PTI)
