Cardamom futures gain 1.27% on spot demand

NEW DELHI, Oct 30:  Cardamom prices rose 1.27 per cent to Rs 861.10 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions amid export and spot demand.
Besides, tight arrivals from producing regions supported the uptrend in cardamom futures.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in December moved up by Rs 10.80, or 1.27 per cent, to Rs 861.10 per kg, in a business turnover of 126 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in November jumped by Rs 9.90, or 1.15 per cent, to Rs 864.40 per kg, in a trading volume of 365 lots.
Traders said rising export as well as spot demand amid less arrivals from producing regions mainly led to rise in cardamom futures. (PTI)
