NEW DELHI, Jan 24: Cardamom prices maintained an upward march for the fifth-straight session by adding 0.10 per cent to Rs 708.70 per kg in futures market today on pick up in spot market demand against restricted supplies from producing region.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in February moved up by 70 paise, or 0.10 per cent to Rs 708.70 per kg in business turnover of 35 lots.
In a similar fashion, the spice for delivery in March traded higher by 20 paise, or 0.03 per cent to Rs 738.20 per kg in 4 lots.
Market analysts said besides pick up in demand in the spot market, restricted supplies supplies from producing region kept cardamom prices remained higher for the fifth-day at futures trade. (AGENCIES)
