Cardamom futures slide 0.53% on low demand

NEW DELHI, Nov 24:  Cardamom prices softened by 0.53 per cent to Rs 1,073 per kg in futures market today as speculators cut down exposure amid easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in far-month January 2018 was trading lower by Rs 5.70, or 0.53 per cent to Rs 1,073 per kg in business turnover of 3 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in December shed Rs 4.60, or 0.44 per cent to Rs 1,040 per kg in 3 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to slack demand in the physical market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing regions, mainly led to decline in cardamom prices at futures trade. (PTI)
