NEW DELHI, Aug 16: In limited deals, prices of cardamom fell by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today on subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Cardamom varieties such as chitridar, colour robin, bold and extra bold fell by Rs 10 each to conclude at Rs 690-740, Rs 670-730, Rs 720-740 and Rs 890-940 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks pulled down cardamom prices.
Following are today’s quotations per quintal:
Ajwain (per kg) 15,500-20,000, black pepper (per kg) 750-900, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,400-1,460 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,500-1,640.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 690-740, cardamom (colour robin) 670-730, cardamom bold 720-740, cardamom extra (bold) 890-940 and cloves 850-900. (PTI)
