Cardiac diseases prevention camp organised

JAMMU, Oct 12: A medical camp regarding the diagnosis and management of Cardiovascular Diseases was organized at Sherpur Katyal Brahmana in Hiranagar tehsil of Kathua district today in which 200 patients examined.
The camp was organised under the supervision of Dr. Sushil K.Sharma, Head Department of Cardiology, Government Medical College Jammu along with a team of doctors which consisted of Dr Mohi Kalsotra,, Dr Salma , Dr. D. Kapoor , Dr. Arjun Singh , Dr Shehbaz, Dr Atul and paramedics including Kuldeep Saini and Kashmiri Lal.
While examining and treating the patients, Dr Sharma stressed upon preventive aspect of Cardiac diseases. Prevention, he said, is better than cure and it is very important for all people in general to adapt a life style which includes regular physical activity ,control of Hypertension and diabetes and maintaining a diet schedule which has more of fiber and less of fats and oil so that big killer Coronary artery disease can be prevented .
Regular walk and exercises should be part and parcel of your life style, he further added .
Dr. Sanjay Koushal (Agronomist), Dr Vivek Arya (Soil Scientist) and Mr Rajeev Sharma , appreciated the kind gesture shown by doctors for organzing such camps in the far flung areas and also requested farmers and local natives of the area to get maximum benefit out of such medical camps.
