JAMMU, Nov 2: Ankur Maitrika Hospital has added yet another feather to its cap by performing Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Defibrillator (CRT-D) at its renowned hospital here today.
CRT-D procedure, which is considered to be the mother of all cardiac interventions due to the complexities involved, was performed successfully on a 42 years old female patient suffering from Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCMP) with severe LV dysfunction and complete heart block.
After the patient was brought to Ankur Maitrika Hospital’s Emergency room in almost unconscious state, she was attended by Dr Neeraj Mahajan who on examination observed a very low pulse rate at 30 beats per minute besides very low BP.
As the ECG thereafter confirmed the diagnosis of complete heart block, she was immediately admitted for an urgent temporary Pacemaker insertion (TPI).
Thus timely diagnosis and performance of the Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Defibrillator (CRT-D) saved the precious life of a young female for which credit goes to the state of art facilities available at the Ankur Maitrika Hospital and the professionalism displayed by the doctors and the staff of this premier health institution.
It is pertinent to mention here that Ankur Maitrika is a multispecialty hospital being a premium model of healthcare in the City of Temples. It is equipped with modern facilities, innovative technological equipment, and a driven spirit to promote community well-being. It has become a preferred destination for healthcare especially ICU services for the people of Jammu and its peripheries. It has recently extended its services by opening another facility in Channi Himmat locality. It would not be out of context to mention here that Ankur Maitrika undoubtedly offers a broad spectrum of health and medical services at par with national standards of excellence.
