JAMMU, May 13: The Department of Cardiology & Neurosurgery was formally started in the Super Specialty Hospital Jammu as Dr Sushil Sharma, Head of the Department Cardiology performed Angioplasty and some interventional procedures in the state of art Cath Lab.
The Department of Neurosurgery was also formally started after Maroon Salaria, Head of Neurosurgery performed surgeries in the most advances modular operation theatres.
It is pertinent to mention that earlier only the OPD services were running in these two departments.
All the faculty members were present on this occasion. They included Dr S K Bali, HoD Nephrology, Dr Sunil Gupta, HoD, Urology, Dr Noor Ali, HoD CTVS, Dr Pooja Vimesh, HoD, Cardiac Anaesthesia and Medical Superintendent Dr Reyaz Ahmed. People from all walks of life appreciated the functioning of these two specialized departments which were long pending demand of the public.
