Career counselling workshop held at DPS

JAMMU, Sept 21: Delhi Public School Jammu organized a two day career counselling workshop for the students of classes IX and XI, here today.
Vaibhav Sharma, a career coach and personality trainer from Delhi was the resource person for the event. Headmaster, Ravi Kumar Kotroo inaugurated the session with a welcome note for the speaker.
The workshop was completely based on off-beat and unconventional career options available in the job market. He showcased these opportunities through a presentation which acquainted the students with various lucrative careers ranging from ‘Avionics to Open Source-Open Standard’, from ‘Mechatronics of Internet of Things’, from ‘Cyber Laws to Public Policy’ and from ‘Auto Management to Entrepreneurship’.
He laid thrust on a real change in the thought process of the students about their selection of careers and to become a job provider instead of a job seeker.
To conclude the programme, Umesh Kumar Sharma, chief coordinator presented the formal vote of thanks. The whole programme was coordinated by Neeraj Kaila, Academic Counsellor under the guidance of the School Principal, Ruchi Chabra.
