‘Carry The Trash Back’ drive organized

RAMBAN, Mar 22: Patnitop Development Authority (PDA) in collaboration with District Administration Ramban, and Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Jammu organized a drive ‘Carry The Trash Back’ at the spectacular Sanasar Lake.
The event was aimed at making people environmentally aware under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The drive was held in the Sanasar Lake and its surroundings as a part of ‘Carry The Trash Back’ initiative to keep Patnitop Circuit clean and green. It was flagged off by Sher Singh, CEO, PDA.
Later, the participants also explored the traditional springs in the area. It was followed by interactive sessions with tourists visiting Sanasar Lake and locals.
“We need to act now more than ever. Every action is crucial for our planet, and its people”, the participants said.
Faculty members of Department of Environmental Sciences including Prof Piyush Malaviya, Head of Department, Prof AK Raina, Prof. Sanjay Sharma, Dr Deepika Slathia (Organizing Secretary), Dr. Rakesh Kumar were part of the event along with the students and scholars.
