Cash reward announced for information on wanted terrorist

JAMMU, Aug 24: The Counter Intelligence (CI) Kashmir has announced a cash reward of Rs 3 lakh for information leading to the arrest of a Pakistan-based terrorist commander, known by the aliases Sumama, Illyas, and Babar.
According to CI, the wanted individual is a handler for the prescribed terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and was implicated in FIR number 02/2024 under the UA(P) Act and IPC.
The terrorist is accused of radicalizing, motivating, and recruiting youth in Jammu and Kashmir through social media and encrypted messaging apps.
He is also suspected of using local residents as couriers to fund terrorist activities in the valley.
The CI has requested the public to share any information that could lead to the arrest of the terrorist with a promise to keep the identity of the informer confidential.
