JAMMU, Dec 10: Keeping a vigil over violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC), Miran Sahib police today seized Rs 1.14 lakh from the possession of a person.
As per police sources, a man identified as Avinash Sharma, son of Chaman Lal Sharma, a resident of Shiv Nagar, RS Pura, having a shop of pesticide was heading towards Miran Sahib from Jewel side in his Mahindra Bolera car.
He was intercepted by the Miran Sahib police headed by SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta at Balol Bridge in presence of Statistic Surveillance Team (SST) incharge Aman Kumar Anand.
During frisking of man, police recovered Rs 1.14 lakh cash and seized the same as the man failed to give satisfactory reply.
The seized money was handed over to Election authorities for investigation.
