Cash snatcher arrested, hunt on to arrest associate

JAMMU, Feb 20: Bishnah Police arrested a man, who snatched cash from a petrol pump employee in Deoli area of Bishnah.
As per police sources, yesterday a man approached employee of a petrol pump in Deoli area of tehsil Bishnah for change of Rs 2,000.
As soon as the employee of the petrol pump provided change of Rs 2,000, the man escaped from the spot on his motorcycle.
A complaint in this regard was lodged at Police Station Bishnah.
Acting over written complaint, a case under FIR Number 30/2021 under Section 382 IPC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and hunt was launched to nab the snatcher, who escaped from the spot along with his associate on a motorcycle.
During the course of investigation, police also released the CCTV camera footage of the accused snatcher.
On specific information, a team from Bishnah Police Station led by SHO Inspector Anil Choudhary under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan conducted raids in several areas and finally arrested the snatcher.
The arrested snatcher has been identified as Rahul Dogra (28), son of Subash Dogra, a resident of Sehora.
The bike on which the arrested accused along with his associate escaped has also been seized. Hunt is going on to nab the associate of the snatcher.
Further investigation into the case is also going on.
