RS PURA, Nov 23: Continuing his election campaign, independent candidate from RS Pura B R Kundal (MLC) today visited several areas of Miran Sahib and held several `Nukkad’ meetings with residents of Gajipur and Ban Sultan.
During his arrival Mr Kundal was whole heartedly welcomed by Panchs, Sarpanchs and locals including women and children. Amid sloganeering, Mr Kundal met people at their door steps and appealed to vote and support in his favour in the ensuing assembly elections.
While speaking the MLC said that he was overwhelmed as people from different walks of life have gathered to show their faith and respect for him. He further said that he was denied ticket from the party, adding that by observing the faith and trust of locals in him he decided to contest in the elections as independent candidate.
“I was told to resign from the post of Chief Secretary and I accepted it as one year of my service was left and accommodated as Member of Legislative Council (MLC) for a long period of time and during that period lot of development works were witnessed by the people of RS Pura. But during election, I was denied ticket and I don’t want to elaborate those circumstances here” he added.
He said all the pending developmental works will be carried out once he was voted to power in the assembly. Kundal further said that in the elections no party can form the Government without the help of independent candidates and if he is voted to assembly then before providing support to any party, negotiations regarding the development of RS Pura constituency will be his top priority. He said that successive MLAs have neglected the constituency for their petty gains and interests of the people were kept at stake.
“Cast your valuable vote only after comparing the candidates and if I deserve your valuable vote then cast it for development, prosperity, progress and employment to unemployed youths,” he added.
While speaking on the occasion, Panchs and Sarpanch vowed to support B R Kundal in the upcoming Assembly elections.
