JAMMU, Dec 11: Congress candidate from Jammu West constituency Surinder Singh Shingari visited different wards of the constituency and asked the people to vote in his favour on the basis of work done by him during the past 15 years.
He stated that the people cannot walk 600 miles for their day-to-day problems and need a representative who will be available with them not as a leader but as a servant.
“The slogan of development is of no use if the doors of winner remains closed for voters after election. Therefore, candidate’s working credential is core issue in Jammu west constituency”, he said.
“Any candidate who uses derogatory language and gestures for others can not serve the people honestly”, he said, adding that the majority of the people are now of the opinion that, in State Sssembly elections, the candidate of their choice must be the one who will always be available with them as a part of solution to their day today problems.
“I belong to the roots of Jammu West and anyone can come to me at anytime. I always remained with the people for their service”, he stated.
Shingari said that in Assembly election, the people should vote on the basis of credentials of the contesting candidate and his availability for them.
“If service of a candidate is ignored, it may demoralize the young political talent at grass root level”, Shingari said, adding that if he is voted to the Assembly by Jammu West people, he will serve them with all his strength.
Shingari was accompanied by various Congress workers including Joginder Singh, Joginder Raj Dubey, Ranjit Singh Bhau, Kanta Bhan, Tamana, Anita Sharma, Satya, Raj Bakshi, Ashwani, Arun Gupta, Anil Kohli, etc.
