NEW DELHI, Nov 3: Castorseed prices dropped by Rs 59, or 1.19 per cent, to Rs 4,900 per quintal in the futures trade today as participants trimmed their positions amid a weak trend in domestic spot and overseas markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed for delivery in December declined by Rs 59, or 1.19 per cent to Rs 4,900 per quintal, with an open interest of 3,07,250 lots.
On similar lines, castorseed for delivery in this month contracts dropped by Rs 51, or 1.05 per cent to Rs 4,810 per quintal, in an open interest of 89,070 lots.
Marketmen said off-loading of positions by participants amid a subdued trend in domestic spot markets due to fall in demand and weak global cues, mainly weighed on castorseed prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
