JAMMU, Oct 15: A massive protest demonstration was organized today by casual labourers, need based, ITI trained and CP workers at PHE Office Jammu to press the Government to consider their genuine demands.
The protest was held under the banner of All J&K Department Casual Labour/Need based/ITI Trained/CP Workers’ United Front, Jammu Province.
Thousands of casual labourers assembled at PHE office Jammu and raised slogans in support of their demands. They alleged that Government has totally failed to frame an adequate policy for their regularization.
They demanded introduction of a single policy for regularization of all casual labourers, need based, ITI trained and CP workers, engaged after 1994 in the department.
