JAMMU, Feb 10: Casual Labourers and Need Based Employees of Public Works Department (PWD) here today staged a protest demonstration demanding regularisation of their services.
The protest was led by Satish Sharma, president PWD Casual Labour/Need Based Union wherein the protesters raised slogans in favour of their demands.

Other demands raised by the protesters were processing of files under SRO 520 which they claimed were lying with the Finance Department, revision of minimum wages after the conversion of J&K State into Union Territory and amendment in SRO 520 to give benefits to the Government Services Assistant at par with employees of Union Territory.
