DODA, June 15: The casual workers held protest here today against the UT Administration and demanded release of their pending wages viz regularization.
The casual workers led by President Zuffur-ul-Sheikh assembled at Malik Pura Batyas and staged protest demonstration. The workers from different areas of this district participated in the protest.
During the protest, they raised slogans against the higher authorities in the PDD, PHE and R&B Departments viz UT Administration.
The protestors said that they highlighted their issues many times and only assurances were given to them. They demanded immediate release of their pending wages viz their regularization.
One of the protestor Bal Krishan alleged that despite repeated representations and protests, the authorities failed to address their issues.
Another protestor Rakesh Kumar has appealed to Lieutenant Governor J&K GC Murmu to intervene and redress the issues on priority.
