JAMMU, July 6: In support of their demands, the causal workers of Wild Life Department, staged a protest demonstration here today.
The protest was held under the banner of Employees Joint Action committee (EJAC-R), headed by its President, Babu Husain Malik in which other casual workers under the leadership of their President, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat participated.
Addressing the protestor, EJAC president, Babu Hussain Malik said that due to the Government’s apathetic approach towards of the wildlife workers, we are on the roads in support of their demands.
“Due to the discrimination with the causal workers, we are observing hunger strike and protests since 20th June, 2024. But the government is not bothered to listen our demands,” he said and added that till the government failed to address our genuine demands, we will continue our protest demonstrations across the J&K UT.
He further appealed the higher authorities to release the wages of causal workers through proper head and in this regard the information should be provided to the protesting workers as soon as possible.
“Due to the delay by the government, the workers in the Wildlife Department are facing severe problems, as the government is adding to their miseries day in and day out,” he added.
