JAMMU, Sept 16: Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has refused to stay the suspension of Surjit Singh, Incharge Executive Engineer J&K Water Resources Regulatory Authority.
Rakesh Sagar Jain (Judicial Member) of CAT observed, “the facts of the case are that a regular departmental inquiry has been initiated by the Government against the applicant for his acts of omission and commission resulting in loss to the Government, embezzlement and disproportionate assets vis-a-viz his income”.
“In the opinion of CAT no prima facie case has been made out by the applicant for grant of interim relief”, Rakesh Sagar said and directed AAG to file counter within three weeks.
