JAMMU, July 16: A Bench of Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) comprising Judicial Member Rakesh Sagar Jain and Administrative Member Anand Mathur has dismissed the petition challenging the orders dated 26.06.2020 and 27.06.2020 passed by Chief Engineer whereby appointment of the applicants as Class IV employees in Department of Irrigation, Pulwama has been cancelled and their services terminated.
While dismissing the petition, the CAT observed, “the appointments orders have been made by an authority not competent to make such appointments and in other cases, the appointment orders are forged documents”.
“The appointment letters have been rightly cancelled and impugned orders of cancellation do not call for any interference by this Tribunal. The applicants have failed to establish any case in their favour”, the CAT further said.
