Cattle charred to death in Thanna area

JAMMU, Dec 18: Seven domestic animals were charred to death when a cattle shed was completely gutted in accidental fire incident at village Rajdhani in Thannamandi, here last night.
According to reports, fire broke out in the cattle-shed of Zafar Javid, son of Abdul Satar, leading to death of two cows, three buffaloes and two goats. Cause of fire could not be ascertained.
On being informed, Thannamandi police registered the case for further investigation. The victim belongs to a very poor family and has no source of income except these animals. Meanwhile, locals have appealed the District Administration to do the needful in favour of poor sufferer who has lost livestock as well as cattle-shed in the fire incident.
