CB books cop for managing appointment on fake license

JAMMU, June 20: Crime Branch Jammu today registered a case against Constable Nand Kumar, son of Joun Mal of Pouni Main, posted in IRP 7th Bn for managing job in the Police Department on fake driving license.
According to the Crime Branch, an enquiry was conducted through Commandant IRP 7th Bn and it was found that Driving License No. 118/MVD/ARTO/R dated 12-03-2008 used by Nand Kumar was fake and fabricated as no such license, as per records, was ever issued by ARTO, Rajouri.
It was also revealed that Nand Kumar had used the driving license knowingly and intentionally at the time of his appointment as an additional qualification and had obtained the benefit of the same. The accused had fraudulently prepared/procured the fake and forged driving license in connivance with some other persons and had used the same in order to cheat the Police Department.
“The omissions and commissions, therefore, on the part of Nand Kumar and some other persons, prima facie, constitute offences punishable under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B RPC”, a spokesman of the Crime Branch said.
